About Us
Warren Expressed Inc. is an Ohio not-for-profit corporation formed in April 2011. Our goal is to build a community of people with a shared interest in shaping the future of our home town — Warren, Ohio.
The officers of Warren Expressed are all 1967 graduates of Warren G. Harding. They are:
Dennis Blank, President, co-founder and principal blog author. Dennis is a Hiram College graduate and attended Ohio State graduate business school. He was seduced by the bright lights of the big city and moved to New York in 1976 where he entered the media business in which he spent the next 34 years working for both large media companies and start-ups. He spent 25 years at Time Inc., the magazine division of Time Warner, working in New York, London and Chicago. He was the Marketing Director of Fortune magazine and the Associate Publisher of Money magazine among a number of jobs there. He retired in 2010, spent a year in Florida and recently moved back to Warren to launch Warren Expressed. Dennis is believed to be the only person ever to move from Florida to Ohio, but he really missed the weather up here.
Carle Churgin (you probably know her better as Corky Robison), Treasurer, co-founder and spiritual advisor, is a co-founder and principal of Chain Reaction Partners in Boulder, Colorado. She is a certified Co-Active Professional and Corporate Coach who coaches professionals and executives, conducts leadership development programs and facilitates team meetings and retreats. Carle holds a business degree from Kent State University and has extensive management experience in communications and public relations. She is the mother of two daughters and has served on the board of Parenting Place, a Boulder non-profit serving new moms and babies, as well as The Watershed School, an innovative middle and high school which provides a rigorous, meaningful and applicable education to its students. In addition to running a business, Carle finds time to dote on her new grand daughter, make yearly sojourns to Italy and perform with the Broadway Boomers, a group of “older” thespians performing show tunes.
John Reebel, Secretary and techno-wizard has toiled for 30 years as a computer geek in the IT jungle, first in industry and now in higher education at John Carroll University in Cleveland. He prepared for this career by getting degrees in history and Spanish while driving cabs and trucks, teaching Spanish and working in the freight business. He holds bachelor’s degrees from Ohio State and Kent State Universities. John runs and bicycles regularly and tries to make up for that with his love of micro brews. Other interests are reading, woodworking and politics. His volunteer activities also include University Heights City Beautiful Commission and the Cleveland Touring Club.
